And why does he call Gordon "little brother" Gordon was first the prototype for the A3 class so Scotsman is actually the little brother.

Fairly certain that it has to do with the fact that Scotsman, having the double tenders, makes him bigger.

Those look pretty nice actually.
The colour seems to be improved from the HO model but it's not as yellow as it should be.. (The Cream Tanker shares that same dilemma)
And the details are fixed as well (The HO one actually had a bit too many of those line things on the end)

Are the Ice Cream logos 3-dimensional, or are they just painted on the sides?

Just wondering if anyone here has gotten the Ice Cream Wagon yet, as I'm curious to see the detailing on it, but I'm not ready to buy it myself, yet. :P

I really hope they don't do what they did with Toad, and release a picture as they released him.
There's a 50% chance people are going to hate it, as some people want the Model version, and others want the CGI version, and if they release him immediately, without warning, people who have him on pre-order may be unhappy with the product.
I know I would've been upset if I had Toad on pre-order..

I saw those on Twitter, those photos are beautiful. I love how the track isn't sitting on plain grey ballast, it looks used, and that really enhances the look. Great job!

Do you plan on making Skarloey's wheels black as they ought to be?

Those coaches look much better than the ones Bachmann decided to use, Chaz.

In regards to what we would like for Bachmann Oliver, as long as he has a white running board, and isn't CGI Scaled, I'll be buying him as soon as possible. If they screw him up, and make him stand out compared to the other 1-10 numbered engines, I'm going to be extremely thrown off from purchasing him.

It's like, we have 1-10 in model series style, then there's just the last numbered engine, 11, being from a completely different realm of the television show. That would be a no-buy from me.

I don't really feel like cluttering up the fourms by posting pictures, so I have a couple of links to the photos uploaded to my Facebook page (The Facebook page is JD41796, if you want to check it out :P:

Here is how Emily looks:

Here's James:

I don't have any real good ones of Thomas and Percy uploaded to the Facebook page, but I have uploaded a few to my actual Facebook profile:

Here's Thomas:

And Here's a not-very-good-picture-but-you-get-the-point of Percy:

the other question...

have many of you customised any Large Scale Thomas?

I've done modifications to every engine, except Toby:

Thomas- I installed lights in the front and rear, painted his smile white, and painted his side rods silver, and his wheel rivets blue.

Percy- Painted his side rods silver, and his wheel rivets green. I also tilted his cylinders to be at an angle, like the early model series, and removed the bit at the end of the slide bars. Also painted the underside of the running board the same colour as the sides, front and back of it.

James- Painted his side rods silver, and his wheels and wheel rivets black.

Emily- Added a Lamp, lamp irons, and a brake pipe to the front of her running board, and a brake pipe at the back of the tender. (These parts are tacked on, and can be removed, or as I like to do; remove the lamp irons, and play around with head codes :P)

They may well have used the design from the uk range but it will be a newly tooled HO Gauge model. A OO Gauge model would look very oversized.

That's a wrong statement. The Well Wagon, Toad, and what appears to be the new Salt Wagon, and New Cattle Wagon, are all directly used from the Bachmann Branchline Range, with no modification to the tooling, other than Toad's face, and the Well Wagon's couplings.

I'll be completely honest, from what we're seeing now-a-days, with Toad being a recolour from the Bachmann Branchline tooling, and what the Sodor Salt truck, and GW Cattle Van appears to be, I wouldn't be surprised if they started using Branchline toolings for all the new releases, which, I would actually prefer because of the smaller, metal couplings. Plus, there's the extra detailing in them.

As much as I don't like recolours because it seems lazy, these don't feel like that. I know they're all recolours from an existing tooling and all, but maybe they released the Green Mail Car last year to lower our expectations, and then they make much better recolours the following year to make them seem better. Idk, these just have me excited  :P

For me they show up as links.

I would love them in HO as well. I'd much rather prefer those over the plain blue one we have now.

This was really quick, the body shells are done for the 3 new Large Scale pieces!

Well, I was right with a couple things, this years looks pretty good, but yet, still no Large Scale Henrietta. Ugh.

My guesses are;

HOn30 - Rheneas, V Tipper Wagon, Slate Wagon, and Brake Van.

HO Scale - Paxton, Rosie, or Daisy, Troublesome Truck #5, and Water Tanker.

Large Scale - Edward or Diesel, Henrietta, and Ventilated Van.
