On30 / Re: New On30

That's because the exchange rate twixt the UK and the USA seems to be based on the $1 = £1 principle, so the USA price would work out at about $24.00 give  or take a few cents.
That's why we're known as Rip-off Britain ! :o

Bob,
That link you gave leads to the home page of  Picturearchives.net and not to your album - too many listed albums to search through to find yours.
can you post a direct link, please?

On30 / Re: How about a backdated mogul?
May 18, 2007, 03:22:16 PM
I disagree thjat putting DCC in a Mogul is easy.
For most people getting that boiler off in the first place is non-starter and trying to cut grooves in the weight for the cables to run down is a nightmare - I've troubles on my 3 and one person I know actually took a 100mm angle grinder to it.
No, I want the revamped Mogul to come DCC Fitted as per the Forney.

I'm posting this announcement of a new Yahoo group on behalf of the Group Owner - Daniel Osvaldo Caso
Daniel's new to the PC game and besides, I've got a lot more groups in my favorites.
Head on over and have a look and even support Daniel in this venture

Modellerstomanufacturersgroup

The two goals of this group are:
1- To create a forum where modellers can propose, suggest or ask manufacturers to see the possibility of producing what they need, want or desire.
2- To give manufacturers the possibility of checking the expectations, opinions and demands of modelers related to their already existent or/and projected production.

Bob,
Rumour Control is pretty sure that they will be out in December 2007.
Meantime, I'm ripping up my Peco Code 100 and replacing it with Code 83 stripped of alternative ties ala the old Atlas trick - quicker and cheaper for me over here in the UK

Ah, that I should be so cruel! :P
Nope it's your side of the puddle! We only have the The Historical Model Railway Society ( or something like that!)
By the way, just for fun Google 'railway historical society' and see how many Railways that turns up! :D

Bill,
Many thanks for your permission - now posted in the files section of )n30 - the group.

I'd love to drop in, but my days of leaping across the Atlantic ocean have gone by the bye.
Cheers

Bill,
Great answer that goes a long way to calming waters.
Can I post your reply in the files section of one of my 0n30 Yahoo groups of which I am a Co-Moderator - I'm willing to accept any caveats you may wish to impose to protect the innocent ;)
regards
David Butler

David,
Sure thing, go right ahead. I'm a member of most of the Yahoo On30 groups myself, but am active on just a few, and am a moderator on the FloridaOn30 yhaoo group. Drop in and visit us if you get a chance (you don't need to be from Florida!).

Come on now, stop faffing about  :D
Remove the four screws from under the tender - lift off tender shell and look to see if any wires are broken ( or making a bad connection) off either of the cct boards or connections to the speaker!
If you don't find any, then return it to those nice people at Bachmann for a replacement!

And now you can all go and read the home page of the National Railway Historical Society < http://www.nrhs.com/library.htm > and note with great glee how they use the term Railway or Railroad with impunity!

Perhaps the introduction of the EZ-Dynamis system into the States will engender a more positive response - a centralised source of info for the EZ system really wouldn't go amiss on here with the Bach-man able to pursue some avenues for us.

The cost of what you buy for your Railroad is inversely proportional to what your financial controller allows you.

Rubbish,
With Peco track being UV  resistant and good ballast laid down, there's no reason whatsoever for not building an 0n30 outdoor empire.
Here in UK we have many OO outdoor layouts running all year round.
Just takes a long time to clean all the track and negotiation with SWMBO for further track rights!
'Sides - 0n30 is a darn site cheaper than large scale for outdoor playing!
