If they are metal, they will be for where the DDC chip slots into the decoder housing if  you want to take the decoder out and just run it on DC without the decoder. Make sence? SShhheeeshhh, too early in the morning atm, with out coffee.

Have you had a look at Hornby replacement wheelsets? I've replaced alot of my Bachman wheels with the spoaked ones but they do make the disc type as well. They come as a 10? wheel st. Also here in New Zealand we have 'North Yard' who make a whole range of wheel types and diameters. Just google them.

Thanks for that insight, Nick. That's a great idea and something to ponder over, eh? Maybe something could be done. In one of the latest NG&SLG there is a set of plans for an American loco. Must look into this more.

???When exactly will we know the date of the 'new' releases? It can't be too far away. Next month isn't?

Living outside of the States ( as I do )  we tend to let these dates slip.

There would have to be compromises in every direction for this to work. After all, those light railmways were around the 2 foot/600mm gauge and wouldn't be true On30 models which everway you look at it. :-\ :-\

Yeah Bill, I'd really LOVE a "H", even it had stuffed gears straight from the box. At least we have something to look at and possibly fix. Mind you, NWSL would soon make a killing 'fixing' the problem with replacements ;D ;D ;D
