ok   i hope this came out       what im showing is a powered tyco boxcar dcc with sound.
i used a FA powered unit from bachmann   and most boxcars do work for this.
why would i do this   on my smaller steams locos i like this to give more pulling power and less strain on the drivers of the steam.
this one unit i posted goes behind a sd-40 to have sound and give more power also          i have close to 6 boxcars done and about 8 old F7s done  so they can work just like the new stuff does.  not much work into them and very easy to build     DAve

Bal  you need to take up another hobby     rockets    look likes someone likes those.    i shoot off some in the summer and the children love those .   do you have a flatbed rocket train car yet  if not better get one ,   Dave

delete everything on roster  and start from 1 to what ever number .        i found that adding a few extras in case you get another locomotive and you will have them in the right order.        i only keep  1 through 20       first ten are my steam last ten are my diesels.  if you get to many hard to thumb through the roster fast enough,  like 40 of them  so i have alot that have the same address  just park them on my dead track .   also in my consist  i like to keep them togather so i will use the same address.   like all my UP are 11 or 1 depends if steam or not          Dave

i bought that set a couple years ago  it didnt take long before i lost the rails also .   i used flat toothpicks and a brown sharpee   and made my own.   now it just sits at my lumber mill as decoration  from buying better log cars from bachmann.     Dave

and you had to top it off with a john deere tractor    nothing runs like a john deere  and plus your locomotive was super with  great sounds.

i found that super 88 or 33  from 3m   is good electrical tape  great for hot surface and cold and wet surfaces    but some things it dont like to stay on very well.   i use this tape alot at my work and on some decoders to keep in place   havent had a issue yet.   if your using some lower price stuff  i found i  dont trust it and it does come apart even on itself.    Dave

NOTE to Dave         clean your service track    so the programming will take much easier            i lowered the rate of the bell also so it sounds a little different  than the rest .         Dave

if it has screw terminals  .   has dc power to track and a ac accessory  might also have a small wire touching across  med resistance short .   also with the harbor freight  volt meter you can check and see how many amps you are pulling .    most power packs are around 1 amp for dc train sets   if you run close to that you have maxed out the transformer .    some power packs are bigger  and smaller you have to check and see what the amp rating is .     DAve
