Can everyone else see it?
No problem here.

Reminds me of the song lyrics, "...till the train runs out of track."

Wow, you guys know your stuff. Thanks for your analysis.

With my very limited capabilities, I'll take a peek and see what I can see.

Note that it had been running fine for months.

BTW, I do have a parts diagram, although it does not "list" the parts - only numbers.

Well, I found several good videos on lubrication so I guess I'll give that a try.

It's just so weird that it runs flawlessly backwards - I'd be interested if anyone has a theory on that.

Hi Rich,

It's #52704 - DCC American

This guy:

I already sent it back once a few months ago for a wobble/derailing problem that was repaired.

Weird problem with my HO 4-4-0:

Suddenly it's very jerky when it runs. Sometimes it just stops. The odd thing is that it runs great in reverse.

I think a lube may be in order, so, as a relative newbe, I'm trying to locate instructions to do so.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Pauley

I've got a set of Bachmann crossing signs and gates (No. 42200).

The letter "S" appears on one side of each gate arm.

I've searched but have not been able to find a reference to it. Does anyone know what that signifies?

Thanks,

Pauley

Thanks.

I won't be using my Bachmann controller for the Kato set, but I obviously have a bit of research to do.

Thanks. Most of that makes sense.  :)

Can anyone direct me to a source that explains programming of DCC locos (i.e. setting a CV)?

I have a Digital Commander set, but have never done anything other than set addresses for locos and switches.

I'm considering acquiring the Kato N scale Super Chief when it is released early next year.

https://www.katousa.com/N/SC/index.html

This might be a silly question, but I have never run two locomotives in the same consist, and I'm wondering the procedure. Is it just a matter of assigning both locos the same address? Would I want/need sound on the B unit?

Thanks,

Pauley

If you're referring to the actual base of an HO structure, I'd go with .040. It will be nice and sturdy for attaching "custom" walls, etc.

Another benefit for me is that building "foundations" are even with my sidewalks which are .040 (.020 pattern on top of a .020 plain sheet).

Terry:

You probably have more experience than most in creating snow - what's your preferred method(s)?
