utdave, somehow I get the feeling that the pictures (as good as they are) don't do you lay out justice.

Rookie, I drew up a plan I could send you. It's 14x7, but I could make it larger.

The good thing is that it works in time for Christmas. Yea!!!! And now we all have a little for knowledge.

While the answer was apparently in the instructions all along, I think it would have been more helpful to have had that instruction in the operation and/or trouble-shooting section as well. Instructions always make prefect sense to the person that writes them. ;)

And for me, if instructions came in more than one language, I prefer separate sections for each, not all on the same page. But that's me.

Can't remember how I came across the site, http://www.bachmannmodelrailroadclub.com/, but it  is associated with this one.  On the left menu if you click on "Got Questions About Model Railroading" it links to  here.

Top of page. clink on PARTS, SERVICE, & INFORMATION  then clink on model RR club

Kearley, people here are very qualified and will be more than happy to help you, but they need more than, "My train would work." Brand, model, DC or DCC, will gave them a starting point. I'd say the first place to look is to make sure all the power connections are correct.

Just how much weight do you think it would be? How thick is the plywood. Some may suggest using a foam insulation board instead of plywood. And I would think you could put a 2 X 4 support under the table.

Not to hi-jack my own thread, but Joe makes a great point. It seems like newbies, like me, often feel that because plywood is 4' x 8', we feel that we have to build a track that fits the table when 4' 6" X 8' 4" might give us a better lay-out. In my case, I'm still negotiating with the "property owner" for right of way :D

morgun,

you can save your anyrail plans as a bitmap (.bmp) then upload that to photobucket or flikr. photobucket will automatically generate an image code you can copy in your post here. it's a lot easier than it sounds.

I'm sure it is, but I don't have an account with either of them at this time.
