Hi. I'm back! Okay, my question is, My Bachmann Henry was just normally going around the loop of track I have, not going very fast, but then it sparked, and fell off the tracks. I don't know why, but now it doesn't run. Did something happen to the motor, or do I have to buy a new one?

your problems would seem to stem more from the cat than plastic wheels. from my extensive experience in the days when plastic wheels were the norm, they don't make much of a difference with a dc layout. dcc, being much more sensitive to dirt, is a different story.

you may also be affected by one or more of the following: track with steel or brass rail, a dirty or dusty environment, layout exposed to cigarette smoke or cooking fumes.

Well, my layout is in a humid area, so that may be why.

As for Henry, Thomasbachannremakes, that sounds perculiar.

Anybody know how I could fix my chassis on Bachmann Thomas? It runs terrible (especially in reverse) even if I clean the wheels and track it still doesn't run well. ???

I have a 57xx 5775 and it runs like a champ! I really do agree they are excellent runners.

I recently decided I should do a rws S.C.ruffy for a project and make him look as gritty as possible.
Awesome idea! You could do a remake of the story/episode he was in, too!
;D
I do have the bachmann scruffy but no Douglas, toad, Oliver, and Duck, but will when I get those models  ;)

He also made a Harvey with a good chassis (a pug?) and some etchings by a friend of his
But my suggestions would be to use a good doner for a chassis and body

As for fergus, I would probably use an Ertl model, but that would require a lot of cutting and soldering, I really don't know

Build it into seperate modules, fix up the wiring and find a good way to transport it but I'm not the guy to go to for this kind of territory

I don't know any others alternitives but I did see an article in a magazine about kit bashing a bachmann k4 pacific into Caitlen's prototype.

You would have to buy a brass Dreyfus Hudson and scratchbuild Caitlin's prototype, I wouldn't suggest this because they are expensive models as there are only brass ones available (or brass hybrid)

I'd love to see bachmann make boco  :Dhe would be something different for the line and they could reuse his face to make a daisy model!

You could have it set on a certain section of Sodor or have it have the sights (docks, sheds, knapford etc).

You can't connect bachmann track to LGB unless there is a piece of track that can put the two together
