Barry,
Do you have some pieces of round brass or copper wire that is about the same thickness as the pin?  If so, I'd cut the rest of the pin flush with the tender body, sand as necessary, then drill a hole of the correct diameter and fasten the new metal pin to the tender using CA.  Plastic tubing or stock might do as well.
Gene
in the case of small brass tubing ,find a small thin brass washer and solder it leaving 1/4'' to be inserted into the tender body. This will give a great deal more support.

A wife buying trains for the hubby.....what a gal!
unfortunely a 2-10-2 while it may run on 24'' curves its not really gonna be happy , those curves are a bit tight for such a long wheelbase...you might wish to  find him a 2-8-0...2-8-2 instead.....

Check to make sure you didn't accidently hook up your track wires to the A/C terminals instead of the correct D/C terminals.

HO / 2-10-0 Optimum exhaust rate
November 17, 2007, 06:24:00 PM
On reading the decoder values of the Bachmann Tsunami equipted russian decapod the programing track find the exhaust rate set at 80 seemed a bit fast but with the correct 4 chuffs per rotation maybe I'm off base . Anyone know what the correct E.R should be. or which sounds best ?  :-\

The N &W class Ms are only to be found in brass I'm afraid, I myself really love the looks of them and even though a GN. fan would gobble up a few if Bachmann in all their wisdom were to produce this great looking  freight hog ......ya just gotta love those Mastodon 's. ;D
