Make sure one wire bundle is on each side of the drawbar. The lenght of the wire loop can be adjusted bt removing the tender shell.

Each model I've tested has had a different whistle. I did hear the C&O 4-8-2, and it was different from the K-4, Class J, and 2-8-0s I tested. I don't know if it's different from other mountains, nor can I comment on its accuracy, as I've never heard a real one.
