General Discussion / Re: new parts
February 26, 2007, 10:55:33 PM
Dear Kevin,
Although we don't stock detail parts for kibashing, the service department often has broken locos from which they'll take the parts you need. A phone call will tell you what's available at a given time.
Have fun!

Dear murfling,
They're only packaged in pairs.
Sorry!

Dear Kyle,
I'd make a sincere effort to have another adult as well. We have "lost" a couple of items at shows this year. It's impossible to keep your eyes everywhere and talk to people.
Let me qualify that by saying we have displayed our trains before more than 100,000 people in five states this year, and have lost only two or three items. On the whole a wonderful record, but if one person takes something that is very meaningful or valuable to you, "on the whole" doesn't help...
Have fun!

Dear 3420,
As far as I know, it's a running change, with no change in item number. I hope to have an announcement regarding frames very soon.
Stay tuned!

Dear Lou,
The painted, unlettered version come with enough parts to allow you to detail your model for a specific prototype. Even on a given railroad it was often hard to find two Russians exactly alike. If we drilled a hole everywhere something could be placed the loco would look more Swiss than Russian... as in cheese!
Find a picture of a loco you want to duplicte, or decide where you'd like the bell, and drill away!
Have fun!

Dear James,
Nothing's been announced, but I'm quite sure the sound line will expand as time passes.

General Discussion / Re: Power Units

Dear Murfling,
Even if a chassis could be found, it would probably cost more than the discount price of a complete power car.
I think that will be your best bet, and use the two dummies as part of a shop/ yard scene.

General Discussion / Re: Cutting EZ Track
February 24, 2007, 10:56:23 PM
Dear Vinny,
Use an Xacto knife to trim the ties. Work it carefully under the tie first, then use the point to cut under each rail.

Dear Lanny,
I have two from Woodland Scenics. They are both hot wire cutters. I also have two from Micro Mark, which are hot knives. They are all useful in different situations.

Plasticville U.S.A. / Re: bachmann g scale coal tower
February 22, 2007, 10:14:30 PM
Dear Adam,
The coaling tower is O Scale. It was included with the original Big Hauler set, which may account for the confusion.

Dear All,
Nice!
I'm in for both the BTS and Deerfield cars. They'll both make the hobby richer!
