Dear #94,
Give the service department a call tomorrow and speak with the service manager. She'll take care of the problem.
Thanks!

Dear Glenn,
The couplers should mate with both Kadee and Accucraft. Mine do...

N / Re: Returns for repair
March 12, 2007, 11:30:41 PM
Dear Poppy,
Traction tires fit in a groove in the wheel. They can't be added to a wheel without a groove without lifting another wheel off the rail.
If you mean that you want the service department to groove the wheel first, then the answer is no. That's not the sort of thing that they're equipped to do.

On30 / New Brewery Kit
March 12, 2007, 11:12:52 PM
Dear All,
Check out Mt. Albert's site for pictures of their new brewery kit:
http://www.mtalbert.com/models/brewery.html
Now your reefers will have a destination. The kits will have signage for the new road names recently announced.
I think it's a beauty!

Dear Pete,
I'm building yet another display layout, this one to demonstrate EZ Command.
It's set up like this:

Wall Pack> EZ Command> Booster> Track
                              ^
                  EZ Companion
                               ^
                   EZ Companion
                               ^
                   EZ Companion

As you can see, the companion goes to the command station. Extra Companions are daisy chained to the first companion.

You can use the booster with other NMRA Conformant DCC systems, like Lenz.

Large / Re: Repair time
March 12, 2007, 10:55:34 PM
Dear TLN,
Many factors can affect repair time, including the number of repairs "on line" ahead of you. A call to the service department will get you an estimate of repair time.

On30 / Re: "Bobber caboose"
March 10, 2007, 11:26:44 PM
Dear ppowell,
You'll have to modify a built-up caboose, as there are no kits. There are also several wood caboose bodies available, such as those made by Mount Blue, which mount on various underframes.

HO / Re: Tender swapout
March 07, 2007, 11:10:43 PM
Dear Jerold,
As posted here, and in many previous posts, when swapping a tender, one should also swap the PC board. This is the most foolproof method.

While I have no specifics, I am certain that the sound line will expand. I'll pass along your request.

General Discussion / Re: dcc overload?
March 07, 2007, 10:26:20 PM
Dear Bubba,
I regularly run more than three locomotives when I demonstrate EZ Command, and there have been no power issues. Since we have a 4' x 8' diplay, there are no long trains, however. Our 3 amp booster is a high quality unit, and, if it's a booster you need, it should stand you in good stead.
Have fun!
