Eddie,

As it says under locomotives, it says they are O scale locomotives and stock, not G scale.

I tried to look at both of your drawings, but it took me to google and said the link appears to be broken. Anyone know why this is happening?

Shawmut,

I have'nt read this yet, then you already posted yours about a new layout.  This would've been kind of hard, but an idea.  I am subscribed to the magazine Classic Toy Trains, and saw a good idea in it.  They made a layout that folded down from the wall.  Like I said, it would be hard to make it, but it's a good space saver. :)

Zelda,

How come on your top-view layout some of the track looks blue?  Is it just your camera, lighting, angle, etc.?

Thanks for the options.  Later, i'm probably going to take the cover off for the wheel sets, but there's just one problem, I don't know how.  If you know how, please respond, and if that's not the case, I'll have to return it.

Guilford Guy, like I said, I had just bought it, and i'm pretty sure that it was a limited edition run, so it couldnt've been too old.  I agree with Tyler, they are good quality locomotives.  When I was in the middle of typing this, my dad and I went down into the basement where my layout is.  We brought the loco up, and put the shell on.  We finally got it to run, but not that good.  It made a very loud noise, like you know how on E-Z Track when any loco goes over the joiner, but about 2x as loud.  It also made a squeaking noise, and was also kind of jumpy.  Does anyone know what could be wrong with it?  Any replys would be helpful.

I recently bought Life-Like's Proto 2000 series GP-30 phase 1 locomotive, and i'm having trouble running it.  I have not yet put the body shell on yet, but that shouldnt matter, should it?  The loco makes a vibrating noise, like it's trying to move.  I can see what I think is the worm gear move for about 5 seconds, loco moves, then it won't move and makes the vibrating sound again.  Anyone know what could be wrong?

Atlantic Central, yes I am young, in which case I don't have too much trains, but I plan to be an architect when I grow up, and I think they make alot of money.  With alot of that money, I plan to buy many trains to fill my basement with one or two giant layouts.

Are you rich?, because that's alot of steam loco's.  Should I even ask how many diesel locomotives you have?

I went to Walthers .com, looked at the stanchions, and had no clue what they were. Im not sure if I was clear enough, but I mean the part between the top handrail, and where they connect to the shell, thats the part thats broken. Its hard to explain, but im going to try and get a picture on here.

I have the Special Forces train set(by Bachmann), and need a replacement engine. The horns are broken off, most of the handrails have become disconnected from the shell.  Does anyone know where I could get the engine without buying another one of the sets?

Sometimes, the hoses on my cars jti either the rail on a switch, but sometimes, it hits the ties. The only one of my cars that hits the ties is my Union Pacific cattle car.

when i mean install your own, i mean just to make your loco run(and the light lights up), and then, also how much it is to have all that stuff, and sound.

HO / dcc question

Ive been wondering for a while, would it cost less to put in your own dcc decoder in your locomotives, or buy a loco that is already equipped with it?
