HO / Re: Minimum radius for bachmann products

Bob,
I have (2)  (Bachmann "Lite Mountains ") 4-8-2's that run great on 18" curves.  I just have to make sure the SCENERY is not too close.  With the Bigboy, and Challenger running on my layout, I have already adjusted my scenery as needed: though. ;D

I just found out that my Bachmann 2-10-2 will NOT work well,(If at all) on anything less that 22' curves.  All by other locos, including the Bigboy, and challenger Will.....

NOW I need to broaden the curves...Again!!!    :-[

I suggest you also put weight in all cars.  I have found that my cars that are too "light" will cause all the other cars behind them to pull off the track.

HO / EZ-Command connector cords
March 07, 2008, 06:16:13 PM
Mr. Bachmann,
Have you all thought of making LONGER connection cords for this system?  Is there "After Market" extended lengths available?  One CAN connect a longer cable for the "TO TRACK" connections, but the Power Supply cord cannot be extended??!  Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for all the info on this thread.  I bought the Bachmann decoders, but they are too big, and would NOT fit in the hatch.  I had to settle for A Digitraxx N scale decoder. I used the bachmanns in other trains!!

Thanks again!

HO / Re: HO Shay details

I painted mine a "Rust" color.  I put one on the tender, and the other one on the shelf-side of the boiler.  I put a few sacks and barrels of "Lubricants" with the tool box on the tender.  YES this is a great Engine!!  I will buy the Sound/DCC unit when it comes out!!

HO / Re: Running DCC next to DC
February 20, 2008, 12:55:19 PM
I know someone that uses a bar switch that changes the WHOLE layout form DC to DCC.  This way visitors can run his r/road without using DCC.  He has the two systems on different power supplies with Lighted switches to know which one is "LIVE"..  Just a thought...

I was looking at item #44133, and was wondering if the EZ Dcc system can control these?  If so, how is this actually done?
