DCC ready means that the model's motor is isolated from the frame of the locomotive so that a DCC decoder can be inserted between the power pickups and the motor leads without shorting out the decoder. Some models are equipped with a socket to accept a "plug in" decoder.

Our online store is currently set up for credit card orders that are safely and securely PROCESSED through VeriSign/PayPal (VeriSign was acquired by PayPal several years ago). All store orders are processed in the manner you described.
At present, PayPal is not offered as a method of payment, but it is a payment option we may add in the future. In the meantime, thanks for your interest in Bachmann and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Oops, indeed. There was a mix-up in our marketing department that somehow eluded us . . . a revised version of the ad with corrected tonnage (55) has already been submitted to Garden Railways for their next run.
