HO / Removing Brass Clips on 0-6-0t board
October 27, 2008, 05:43:42 PM
Dear board,
I am in the process of wiring a decoder in this loco.  I have the instructions from the earlier forums and they are GREAT instructions..  But they all say to remove these brass strips that are on the Board.  For anyone that has put a decoder in this unit.  Do you just pull them off, or are they "hard" to remove?  I want to ask before I mess with the board.
Thanks for the info...

HO / Life like SW-1200 decoder

Dear Board,
What decoder has been used in this switcher?  I would like to keep the weights if possible.  Is there a "board Replacement" decoder available?

HO / Bachmann DCC ON Board GN 0-6-0
October 23, 2008, 07:24:23 PM
I was moving this loco, and had not noticed before that it has the holes to be converted to a 2-6-2 or something??

Was this a loco that was used for something else and then "Made" for the DCC ON Board products?

If so......

Ok Bob...

Time to work on those projects!!

By the way...  The loco you used for the "Tenders" was the Bachmann 70 ton switcher, or was it the 44 tonner?
Thanks,

General Discussion / Mantua Pacific - 1980's
October 18, 2008, 09:39:36 AM
Dear Board,
I was given a HO Mantua Pacific several years ago.  I want to order parts, and install a decoder in it.  I looked up the site for these engines, but there were 3 "Runs" in the 1980's.  Does anyone have any info on markings, or what I should look for to choose the right one?

This is a a metal engine, with a metal tender, if that helps.

General Discussion / Re: DZ125 decoder....

Thanks for the response, Jim.
I did install this decoder in my Rivarossi 2-8-2.  It was my "first" hard install, and it was easier that I expected.  This size of decoder was a good choice, there is very limited space in there....
Other than the space, I have run this Loco all day, with no problems...
I do use the Bachmann EZ-Command system, by the way.  So far NO conflicts.

Thanks again for the help.

Did anyone find out if this decoder has any problems, as reported earlier on the board?

PN,
Thanks for the info!!

Jim,
I have this decoder ready to install into a loco... and the disassembled loco is on the table.
Have you determined if there is a problem with it?  I have no way of testing this decoder, before I use it.
Thanks for the help!!

Bob,
That is a good idea, on the advertisement...
It is like yard sales, without the parking issues!

Bob,
I would be interested in GN cars, too.  Please email me the list...
Thanks!
