HO / Re: Sites for EZ-Track Layouts

        Terry,
Thanks for that site. I've been looking for that again since a lightning
strike took out my last computer, last May.

         Dusten,
PBS is the same channel that Sesame Street & Mister Rogers is on.
I don't think all PBS stations carry this program, but it is worth checking into.

I wish I took some pictures and jotted down some track measurements for layouts I did on the basement floor, before I got to work on my bench work for Big Bear RR : featuring Wondeland Express - Passenger Service & Great Northern - Freight Service, in On30.

      Hey B-Man,
Do you think you will ever make a set of these to give clearance for On30
Railroads?

I'm going to place my order with my LHS guy on Friday.
He likes it when I tell him I want to be his first sale of a new item.

       Tom,
None this week, I was told at Trainfest in Nov. to watch for new shows in
Feb. or March. I see Saturdays show is about the display at Chicago Museum of Science & Industry.
Do you go to any Train shows or swap meets.

No Star ranking race any more either. I've noticed most new posters,
introduce themselves as "new to model RR" when they make their first couple of posts. Let's try to welcome new folks aboard for their new &  wonderful journey in the hobby.

General Discussion / Tracks Ahead on PBS

How many folks have seen or watch this show?
Have any of our forum regulars been on the show?

This past weekend I came across two different gentlemen who have been on the show, at two different events. Neither was bragging, I had to bring up the fact that I recognised them from their segment on the show.
I saw this as a sign to post it on our new board.

Great looking layout, I think you have improved the look of this one.
You took out just the right, not needed tracks.

 Enjoy it!

I've seen others post, on previous board, about using door bell wire.
Probably a good substitute for buying new more expensive wires.

I just heard through, the breezes, a new EZ Track book is to be delivered this spring. Let's see, March 21st is the first day of spring.
I'll expect mine on March 22nd, (just kidding).
I hope it meets my long awaited expectations.

On30 / Re: Vertical Clearance for On30
February 06, 2007, 12:35:41 AM

No. most of the clearances posted were engine or car height, from the tops of the rails. The tunnel portal or bridge girders or supports sit on the ground level, NOT on top of the rails, so one needs to add in rail clearance also.

General Discussion / Re: Rialroad background sounds

       Jim,
What a neat idea, must be a permanant layout. On my layout the original
layout moves or gets shifted some every time I try to expand it.
I have a tendency to over think things. Must be a model RR thing.

       Tom,
I seen a CD on E-bay that had Village sounds with trains, etc.
I was looking at some D-56 stuff at the time.
