Those of you that have engineering skills about model trais, is it possible using the same"chassis' on the full scale to make it so that there is some flexibility of the main wheels so that the full scale can negociate down to 0-36? Then it would require minimal tooling and not have to redesign a whole new engine. Or would WBB consider a separate "kit".

After reading about the GG1 in Trains magazine 3 years ago I really liked the looks and the whole history of it. Last year I was able to pick up a semi in Brunswick Green and Tuscan red 5 Stripe. While down in Florida last November the hobby shop had a full scale GG1 on the track and "it does look cool".

I wish one of the companies would consider a scale in between scale and semi scale for the gg1. The semi. Scale looks to stubby and the full scale is too long to run on average curves

They did release some new F-3's and F-7's.

Some Berkshires and Semi and regular Hudsons took a hit too but I heard they are

going to do some re-tooling

At least there is a plug in spot for the day WBB does decide to produce soundboards.

Don't be to quick to write off the newer generation.

Just in my 9 year old son's circle of friends once you show and tell them steamers they DO like them.

Our job as hobbyists is also to get the the younger generation into the hobby.

What killed the plastic model airplanes is that the major model industry kept catering to the older sophisticated modeler and the kids just dropped off.

What I have noticed with the train industry is that they know the life blood is with the young kids there is a nice balance of entry level sets combined with nice stuff for us more "hooked' hobbyists

The industry has its hands full BUT with the "boomers" retiring and becoming grandparents they are re-discovering the fun they had with trains and sharing the passion and fun with grandkids and nephews! etc.

I think steamers will always be interesting. look at how many boomers with some money are restoring the real thing and how many excursions have steam.

where did those bridges come from??

The layout is coming along really nice!!!!!!!!1

From my model airplane days there are all kinds of after market kits to add more realistic detail to cockpits and landing gear, engines and machine guns.

With trains it would be interesting if there were an enterprising aftermarket company that produced cabs for the steamers and diesels.

I just what you had written and I lost it.

Yes I do have the Post War ZW.

Can you post what I need to do again and what parts I need?

Yes that ZW had been sitting in storage for many years had never been serviced or cleaned.

Thanks in advance you probably saved me a lot of problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lee I like that idea.

I have a whole bunch of HO figures that came with my son's HO set.

Now that I know how to get into the vista domes I will put some of those figures in there

Our N-Gauge "Kiddie Land" in the middle of our layout got a boost this Christmas with my son's friend giving us some N-Scale rolling stock.

Thanks for the tip
