The TV series never had yellow-eyed wagons.

Also, I don't think you would have to sand off the words Sodor Mail. I say just paint over it. Not sure, I'd have to check.

Probably late November, to be precise.

I doubt it to a point. Christmas seems more believable. When something is released, it takes a few weeks to get around. October/November could be the release of D&D, but they will probably be available to us all around Christmas.

Actually they were mail vans painted brown/black colors. You could just paint a mail van and there you go!  ;D Watch a few episodes. You will surely see them.

Watch a few episodes. Knapford never really changed much (don't take into account the background changes (harbor to town) as the series went on). Tidmouth didn't under-go major change either. If you are looking for good destinations, I would suggest Knapford, Tidmouth Sheds, Brendam Docks, Wellsworth, Gordon's Hill, Henry's Tunnel, and Ellsbridge.

I'm currently making a layout and I am doing an exact replica of Henry's Tunnel from Season 1. I am also making a Gordon's Hill based on the Railway Series. Knapford is a maybe. I don't have the space (or need) for all 6 platforms, so I may just make something of a Ellsbridge. My harbor is a mix of harbors and my own freelance and Tidmouth Sheds is the same way.

Go with what you think is right. Watch a lot of episodes and you can match up how the destinations come together and you can easily see how each destination is made up. I've done that when looking to build Wooden Railway again (hasn't happened). It isn't hard. Focus on certain scenes not ones that change every season (i.e. Brendam Docks changed almost every season leading to season 6.)

There was never a cargo wagon either. That exact model of van was in the TV series though. It was brown or gray.

Also someone please respond by tommorow afternoon, my church's priest is coming for dinner and he wants to see the layout and I want to make a sign for my layout promoting my church. What font size sould I use for this while typing it. Please respond it will be greatly ppreciated. Thank you.

That is irrelevant to the topic.

I wonder if Harvey has a chance, let alone Stepney. Rosie isn't very important compared to Diesel for example. They seem to be going for the more classic characters as of recent times. Salty became classic due to his numerous TV appearances. Spencer seems to be a classic "bad guy" and Emily is one of the steam team (replacing Duck as it seems  :P).

All the models have reasons for their release. Duck has good reasons, so does Oliver. Stepney has some sort of a chance, but not a huge one. He didn't appear too much, only a few episodes.

What's wrong with the one being made? The turntable could be fixed, as well as the entrance tracks to the shed. Besides that just get two extra stalls for series 9 to now. If you want a classic roundhouse, you could do with that Vollmer shed that seems popular.

Not sure what you said, but there are add-on stalls to be for sale.

It's one thing to sculpt, another to sculpt them right.

Reason I haven't tried sculpting yet is because of that; don't think I'd pull it off right. The other fact is I heard the material was expensive.

Adventures on Sodor had the highest quality fan made sculpts I've ever seen though.

I love the faces Dan made on AOS. Gordon's surprised face looks TV series quality to a point. It doesn't have the blotchy or messy look to it.

I don't understand how it can add traction when there is no contact with the actual rails. When it adds up it can get on the steeper side when you have many things to consider on a layout.

Dr. Nick (love the name): Looking forward to the layout. Good luck.

Cheers

There's no need to repeat what Sparks just said. There is a good possibility that it would be a van as we have been asking for one and it is still a "truck." A wagon could be T. T. 3 as well.

It doesn't add much realism. It only raises the track a bit. If you lay ballast correctly, you can eliminate that need of more money.

If a straight piece is 9" long inside a stall, Gordon, Spencer, and Henry are out of a place to rest...

Bachmann hasn't necessarily been sticking with classic characters. Emily and Spencer are prime examples. They were even released before Edward!  :P

Derek was less than a minority character. Only one episode... Oliver wasn't really a minority. He showed up a nice amount in Season 3 and 4, even 5. He had his own episode in season 7 even. BoCo appeared a bit less, but all the same it would be nice. Daisy I'm not sure of as she was in few episodes.

A couple things to say from me: BoCo was not in series 6. He appeared very little in season 5 (only 1 or 2 episodes). He had some sort of episode to himself (not directly). It was "The Diseasel" because, well... introduction episode  ::).

Daisy was around for a longer period. Where she was in season 3, who knows? She was in at least 1 episode in season 4 ("Bulls Eyes").

Both had faces based off of one another. Daisy was literally BoCo's face with make-up. They should be made as they were key engines in the books and on TV, BoCo showed great importance with Edward and the China Clay Twins.

BoCo and Daisy should be greatly considered for the future. Never forget Duck and Oliver though as there importance is just as great. ;D
