 >:( Okay maybe that is my problem I have no real local hobbyshop all I have with in 45 miles of me is a Hobbytown and a Hobby Lobby both are crap when it comes to catalogs unless you buy Lionel and our Hobby Lobby has a very poor train selection a few Bachmann starter sets and Atlas snap track and thats about it.

Hi Lanny, The photo was taken on the Edgewood cutoff engine number 2458 a 4-8-2 on the tender I can't really tell about the trucks looks like they are 4 axle to me I blew up the orginal until I could see them as clear as possiable. But the tender does look larger than the normal ones on IC 2400 class locomotives but its pretty grimy and the numbers do match. I do the ICRR loved to play musical tenders at times.

ICRR 2507 at Jackson, Mississippi

I am thinking of getting a Bachmann 4-4-0 so I can model this Y&MV train in the Yazoo delta.

General Discussion / Re: Keeping track of trains
February 26, 2007, 10:52:08 PM
I keep track of my modest collection using a basic database with Reporting marks RR name type of couplers wheel set type who made it and its current condition followed by the year bought. It helps me keep up with my 272 items in HO and 115 in large scale on two separate databases.

Right HOn30 is O scale 3 foot guage running on HO track since the HO track is very close to the narrow guage prototypes. The ICRR 2-4-4 were all mainline standard guage locomotives. Even tho the ICRR did have some 3 foot guage lines in Mississippi during the era.

Yes it will but as Alex said it is O scale and not HO

Lanny O Lanny I can't believe you made a steam mistake on our Beloved ICRR locomotives now you got me worried are you going to turn that Bowser loco based on a PRR prototype to ICRR :P :-X Looks like we're gong to have to seen you back to ICRR steam locomotive School 101 lol on the ICRR list. Just wait until I tell Ray and gang! I will take a proto 2000 2-10-2 in IC colors to keep this mum lol ;).

Hmm I have never posted a pic on this new forum lets see if I can even do it lol.

??? Well where to begin? Well I am another Stephen or Steve to friends on the Short line I worked to help create back in 1998. The Kosciusko and Southwestern worked on it till 2003 when a bridge collapsed under me while on top of my Fairmont derrick and now enjoying life the best I can on disability and SSI at the old age of 31 :-[

I got into model trains ate age of two. When my aunt bought me a Chattanooga Choo Choo set by Tyco still got the 2-8-9 and 250 ton big hook guess that explains my love for cranes and trains. I have lived in Bentonia, Mississippi all my life within ear shot of the Yazoo District of the Mainline of Mid America the Illinois Central now CN (ICK)  Sorry CN lovers but I love my ICRR more than any RR in North America even through the black days of the  ICG.

I now model in HO and G 1:20.3 and 1:29 mostly have some Lionel from my youth some N at one time which I sold eyes to bad to see it now days with diabetes and nerve damagedestroying my eye sight and I own 2 Fairmont Motorcars in 1:1 scale and a fairmont derrick. I like everything from the Civil War era to 1990's but model mostly the transistion era from Steam to Diesel in HO it is standard gauge Y&MV and ICRR in Large it is ICRR Southern and a narrow guage logging lines since my grandfather used to run and own two shays in the early 1920s here in Mississippi. Well enough ramblin's.

HO / Re: ok anyone got one of these for sale?
February 19, 2007, 09:02:31 PM
I bought a 4-6-0 from them a few years ago with the motor in the tender and pardon my French and Spanish it ran like hell my old Tyco 2-8-0 with the motor in the tender ran smoother than the model power one so I took it back to the store ASAP and got an IHC 2-6-0 for 10 bucks more and came home happy.

HO / 1:87 Scale heavy Equipment models
February 19, 2007, 08:07:50 PM
::) I was in my local Wal-Mart and found several HO scale pieces of CAT branded models in diecast got a nice 163H motor grader for under 5 bucks. Now if only they will keep them in stock.

Dumb question what scale is 1:64 got a John Deere backhoe in that scale looks kinda big for HO or would it fit in.

Thanks
