Messages - BIG BEAR

One of my all time favorite, singer of train songs was Boxcar Willie. AKA America's favorite Hobo.
He also succumbed to cancer, in 1999.  My folks went to Branson to see him in 1997. That was just a year before the nasty "C" took my Mother at 54 Yrs. old.
Maybe I'll try to track down the tape of that show they went to. Dad
may still have it.

P.S.  ursine = the first time I've had to pick-up a dictionary in years - Thanks
I had to ask my wife where it was.

I would love to see Bachman start with the Trolley Barn for "O"n30 and HO. They could also use the "O" with the new O scale barn with the EZ track O Guage 2-Rail set, that I am here forth suggesting they start producing.
I really do NOT like the cheap, run down look of the roof on these barns.
I put a park bench along side, & a wreath between the windows to help dress up, or in this case distract attention from the crappy roof.

The minute I heard Bachmann purchased Williams, I said they now have the perfect opportunity to make EZ Track in O guage 2 Rail.  I know Bachman can make Snap track look more realistic than Lionel does.

On30 / Observation cars with drumheads?
January 15, 2008, 11:16:44 AM

     Hey All,
Does anyone remember when Bachmann had Drumheads on the Observation cars? Did this Drumhead light-up? Or was it just decorative/ ornamental?
From Ebay, I recall seeing only 2 road names, B&O Blue Royal, and Great Northern.  Were there any others?
Maybe someone with an old catalog can take a quick look.

Just too curious. Thanks for any response,

On30 / Re: Caboose needed for Wonderland Express
January 15, 2008, 10:48:55 AM
        Hey DSmit,
I have a couple of the wonderland sets, I love the dark color and the detailing, gold leaf, Brass bars & all.
I also had a dilemna. I wanted a 2-door baggage car to match my set, I ended up with a very close match, as the Pennsylvania (PRR) is a darker red. It too has the gold colored or brass railings, & if I don't point it out to people, they have no clue that it does't match.
I looked at the Pennsylvania Coboose it too looks to be the same dark red, but the railings etc. are black on the caboose.
PS I think all cabooses should be bright red.
    Hope this helps, Enjoy,

I wouldn't mind seeing an EZ Track - bridge, sold with some wooden
type risers. Along with any turntable.

         Enjoy,   Barry

       JJ,
You are already using EZ Track, just use another terminal re-railer & run another 10 ft  terminal wire (red) to the existing power source. it's the EZ-ist way you can do this.
    Good luck,

    Hey Kodie,
Yes you can it just seems to look a little strange, with 2 different colored roadbeds.
The N/S is better for conductivity.  I noticed one of my HO engines slows down on the steel track and speeds up when it gets to the N/S track.

I just picked-up my copy at my LHS, now to find time to read it,
darn honey-do list.  Oh tommorrow we are going to check out a public display of a Christmas village, with trains, before they close for the season.

General Discussion / Re: Broken tender pin
December 23, 2007, 12:35:02 PM

      Thanks all for the help!
I took ideas from these. I used a galvanized nail, ground the point off,(too proper length), drilled a hole in the tender, glued it in place, & finally painted it flat black. I need to test run later today.
The first nail I used, I cut that sucker twice & it was still too short.

   Hey C.Q.

The Tyco set was G.I. Joe it had jeeps, copters, boats, tanks, men
( some had parachutes ) & a cardboard base to set it up on.
My sons set, is still in my basement. they go for around $25 on Ebay if it's in the box, & all is there.
