Thanks, Bill.  I'm subbing for an old friend for the next three days.  Act I and II of MACBETH.   This is the third Shakespearian play for these students and they still can't tell their "thee" from  their "thy."  But most apparently got something out of it.  One of the students in the last class was in the office as I left and told the secretary, "Now that's the sub who KNOWS Shakespeare!"  And he couldn't be sucking up.  All I'm doing is leaving a report.
BTW, there are no trains in MACBETH, not even the "Hogwarts Express."   ::)

Might thou sub at thy school? ;)
Yes I probably messed up to the point of english teacher histerics yet I have yet to learn AME.

M80c, thou art Gullford Guy?  Thou fightest thyself?  "What fools these mortals be!"   Prithee, varlet, cast thy eyen on thy work ere thou posteth.  That should grant thee honour.

THATS NOT FUNNY. UNION PACIFIC DIDN'T MENA TO DO THAT STOP MAKING FUN OF THEM AND DO I REALLY HAVE TO SAY WHY I AM SAYIND THIS. COM ON UR FAVORITE RAILROADS HAVE HAD A CRASH NOW AND THEN.IN 1940 AND 2-10-0 OWNED BY THE ICRR FELL OF A BRIDGE INTO A RAVINE. AND IN 1885 A 2-6-0 FELL ON A TRESTLE I DON'T KNOW WHO IT WAS OWNED BY BUT GIVE THEM A BREAK.

oh did you hear about the B&M X class 2-6-6-2 that fell off the deerfield river bridge outside hoosac tunnel and the boiler exploded and parts of it  are still there?

Alex is correct ... the Proto GP38-2 must have the couplers carefully removed, and then you will find at least two other screws near the fuel tank (hard to see) that must be removed. Really look over everything carefully to make sure all screws have been removed ... that puppy is a 'pain' to find and remove all the screws, but once you have, the body comes off quite easily. "Very gently" is the word when removing anything on a Proto 2K.

just to add to lanny's post- when you remove the coupler boxes there are 2 more screws the below where the coupler box was that should NOT be removed unless you wish to take the metal weight off to access the motor+trucks.

My doodlebug will negotiate 18" radii!
I love how the coupler is attached to the ruck so when the truck swivels so does the  coupler. I managed to run a mixed freight around 18" turns with a mixed train in tow with no problems whatsoever.

Peace!

later ones had the mcginnin B&M logo and either a silver or white front.
