A "B unit" by AAR notation would be something like an EMD Model 40, this only has two axles.
A B-B has two trucks each with 2 powered axles.

Nope, Bachmann does not make one for this locomotive. You can probably install a sound decoder, but space may be tight.

How about a toggle switch for your stalls, either all of them as a whole or an individual switch for each one.

Thanks. My  plan would not work using two ez command controllers. Is it possible to control 2 individual locomotives independentla using the basic ez command station?
Never connect two DCC systems at the same time just as a reminder. You can run 2 independently but you would have to switch back and forth between addresses.

1. You would probably have to swap the wires on the board, don't know of any easy fix but there may be one.
2. No, not unless you have a DCC system capable of programming configuration variables, a regular E-Z Command would be insufficient, you would need at least a Dynamis system.

Bachmann has some good videos on youtube.

I think function 8 is mute. You should have something listing a few of the basic CVs for the decoder, but if not it can be found online on the Bachmann website. I don't know the CV offhand.

Honestly taking off the shell is the easiest part of installing a decoder. After you install the decoder and speaker it will be a very tight fit, or will not fit if you choose the wrong decoder or speaker. The locomotive with sound will have a bell and horn that will go off like the bell will ring when the locomotive is traveling slowly.

Amazon often has incorrect product descriptions or images or other inaccuracies. Bachmann makes the S4 locomotive both as DCC ready and as DCC equipped with sound. If you bought one that already has sound then obviously it has sound and you need not do anything else. If you bought a DCC ready locomotive then you must purchase both a sound decoder and speaker and baffle to have sound. Those are only two possibilities. You would have noticed if your locomotive has sound as it makes random sounds on DC analog operation.

It can't have factory sound if it has no decoder. Assuming your locomotive is DCC ready you will need to add both a sound decoder as well as a speaker and baffle. Then you will get sound, and  if you run it on DCC you can control all the sounds.

You know it is pretty easy to change one number to make a new number, just get some decals and you are set.
If they are planning on it you might have to wait a few years to get it.

CV is Configuration Variable, you need to program CV number eight to a value of eight to do a factory reset on the decoder, this is the case for all basic Bachmann factory supplied decoders (non sound). All you need to do is select to program either on the main or the service track, it doesn't matter and type in 8 when it prompts you for a CV number and then type in 8 when it prompts you for a value.

Try messing with the CV to disable/enable analog/digital.

Wow! Not a pro here. How do I do a factory reset? Taking it apart and knowing what I'm looking for seems daunting. Shouldn't the seller be responsible for a working products
Your product could very well be working but you just don't realize it. Program CV 8 to a value of 8 to do a factory reset. If you show us a picture with the shell removed we can tell you if your locomotive has a DCC decoder or just has an 8 pin socket.

Can you try an MRC system since it has a MRC decoder it could be a compatibility issue with your system.
