A little light oiling of the valve gears seems to have cured the tick... however the grinding in the curves still exist and I would really like to solve that problem , contact lube was no help...minimum suggested radius is 22" and that's what I'm running it on...on another note the sound works great but is a little loud...anyway to turn it down???

I have three Bachmann 2-10-2 locomotives. The will run on the 22" circuits, but not well.

The do much better on my 26" track.

Will

Mine runs fine. That is the largest I have. I'm sorry but I think you may be mistaken.

to wtierce : on wathers web site Gray road bed transtion Track  P/N #433-21344 page 242 Walters 2011 HO scale Refence catalog  .  on sale today for $3.98    . J2.

So I only need that one for all my needs? Something I would think is that it would need to be brought down to plain un-roadbed track height? ???

The train set that includes both from lifelike has the power-loc to flex track converter. My hobby has the E-Z track to power-loc converter in nickel silver. Now all I need to find is the power-loc to flex track in nickel silver. I know they have to have it because if you look at the illustration in one of the Walthers catalogues the use E-Z track and use nickel silver converters.

My 2-10-2 runs just fine on 22in radius. As a matter of fact it also runs just fine on 18in but not all of them run as good on other peoples track.

Bob

Same here.

I had the same problem at one time and all it was that one of the sets of wheels were out of quarter. It isn't hard to put the wheels back in alignment.

I don't think the decoder is in the tender in an 0-6-0.

Yes! If you search for them on bachmann's product search they have a picture of all of them.
