HO / ready grass mat
May 25, 2010, 06:24:44 PM
What can I use to "glue" down the grass mat to the wooden table top I'm guessing some type of plastic glue so it won't melt the underside of the mat...also will a hair dryer get creases out of the mat, I know you can shape it with a heat gun

Thanks Jim but a standard dc controller will plug in a work fine...that was the third and last thing I tried...do you or anyone know if I need to return the power supply and the controller to track wiring along with the controller or just send in the controller alone...I'm sure they have a set up for testing but was wondering before I seal it up and drop it off at the post office

both are correct ... I do have 2 dc controllers and I have no blocks isolated except for the sidings where the two passenger trains park but thats only to keep the lights out in the cars while running other trains

HO / E-Z Command
May 24, 2010, 04:41:48 PM
Well our ez command crapped out this morning. There was a short and instead of turning off the power my little engineer unplugged the wires from the back of the controller then plugged them back in and it wouldn't work ... however Bachmann said since its only three months old to send it in and they would replace it. So about three to four weeks turnaround I guess I'm down for a while.

What would be the best DCC Decoder to use with the HHP-8? Would sound be considered a good possibility?
Who is that a picture of on your avatar?
looks like Brisco County Jr.

HO / Re: How do you decide what to buy?

well I always take more than I'm gonna spend...well I tell myself that I have a limit before I get there and usually stay in budget .... I'm looking to expand my little engineers set at the moment...got three more switches and some extra track for a couple of sidings so we can park what is not in service at the moment and use the 4-4-0 for the switcher as it won't pull alot anyway

I have the standard line Bachmann Berkshire and love it however the pilot wheels derail every other blue moon but not a big deal for my little engineer as he likes putting the engines back on and off and back on and off...well you get the idea
