You can control the horn and bell on the new GP30. You can blow the horn and ring the bell at the same time and the horn only blows while you push the horn button on your transformer no preset horn. I like both setups.

great news and now you can have both units running. I know you will love it. I ran my last night and just outstanding in my book.

When I made the short video i kept the engine in the neutral mode so I ran up and down the voltage so everyone could hear the engine rev up and down when you give it more voltage. Your transformer should be just fine. It is sometime hard to hear that change while it is running down the track. Thats why I did the video in neutral mode with the engine.

The light being LED's that what makes them bright all the time and look so good. Also did you notice that the lights reverse when you change directions. I tell you this GP30 is a home run for me. I really love mine. I am waiting on some new road names and hopefully Southern or Northfork Southern or both because I will by them both. In fact I am going to the train room now and run it. ;D

Chessie1971 you are quite welcome and glad you enjoyed the short video. Did you notice that you blow the horn and bell at the same time now. I really think this is a great engine and looking forward for more to come. Like I have said I already have my order in for the RS3 Seaboard in Dec. :)

The smallest radius I have on my layout is 54. I use Lionel O track and K-Line shadow rail. I really like the K-Line track so I am replacing the Lionel O a little at a time when I can. I have 18 072 K-line switches as well and my layout is 13x22 with 2 main lines. I also got the Northfork Southern F3's in Black and White as well and a good friend of mine traded me some MTH NW passengers cars so I have that train as well. I have now picked up 4 more Williams engines and some cars. I put the GP30 ACL on hold and hope to get it out in a couple of weeks and will give my run down on it as well. Also I told my LHS to put my order in for the RS3 Seaboard. I gave gone nuts over these Williams engines.  :)

Here are my new F3's Santa Fe's. They look great and run great but I know when I get a Williams engine it is going to run for a long time.

Here are the cars as well. Very nice and I like the detail. I know that they are the 72' heavyweights but just liked them.

Well I just picked up my Santa Fe F3's and passengers cars from my LHS. I went over at lunch so now I just have to get home tonight and unpack them and run trains. While I was there they got a shipment in from Bachmann and in that was a ACL GP30 so you know what that mean ;) I put that baby on hold for me. ;D

I have just heard that Williams is coming out  Alco RS-3 (MSRP: $429.95) in Pennsy, Rock Island, Seaboard Air Line, and Canadian National.  It will have the new digital sound system. WOW if this is true I am in for Seaboard maybe two or more.  :)

I am glad you got and like the new GP30. I have seen Curt's and it is great. I am getting one myself in ACL scheme. Curt is the one getting the Erie's and I think they are due in the LHS this week. I am sure he will post here when he gets them.

You will not regret getting a GP30 when they make it Reading Line. It is well made as all there engines as you have said. Let me know when you get one.

I sure will let you know when I get the ACL GP30. From what I have seen with Curt's it is just outstanding in my book. The detail is great and I really like the new sound system. The color is black with white lettering on the GP30.
