Mark,

You are welcome.  I will try to complete the list if possible. Mr. Williams did not keep very much historical information.  85A and 85B are different car numbers that is the only difference.

Williams by Bachmann / Re: Power up, WBB!!!

Dear gmaneis,

The instructions were written when there were not any transformers on the market between 40 and 90 watts.  Our 80 watt transformer will work fine.  The rating simply has to be greater than the total power draw. The 90 watts recommendation allows you to run a loco with several lighted passenger cars.

Bursk,

It is brass.  We only made the Atlantic once and it was a brass model. I think it was made in 1988.  It is a nice running model and the first scale Atlantic made for three rail O Gauge track.

The vents on the roof are actually screws. Unscrew them and you can easily access the light bulbs.

Dear Mark,

I will try to make a list.  The WAL was added for Walthers.  The numbers were actually FC01-?? I don't recall the last number that we made, but I will research it.

Dear All,

The determining factor most of the time is the switch housings on switch tracks, but the truck pivot also comes into play as well.  A FP-45 will not run on regular O-27 curves, but will run on larger diameters of O-27 tracks.

You may also damage the wire on the passenger cars when running on smaller curves than the recommended size.

Williams trains are designed to work with the 3-rail AC track power standard.  The internal motors are DC, but the reverse board converts the AC power to DC and also controls the direction of travel.

Dear All,

We started shipping them this week.  Watch for the brown & gold truck.

The sign-up form clearly stated that it was a pre-order item.  We limited the ordering period last year to get the car out sooner and we are shipping more than 2 months earlier than we did last year.

Mike,

The old form of the club serves no purpose since the same discount that Williams offered to club members can be obtained at many retail shops.  The club car is made only once.

Here is the first draft of the artwork for this item.  We have to make some minor changes, but at least you can get an idea of how it will look.

Dear All,

All B Units have 2 dummy couplers for close coupling of the units.  The instructions should correctly state this. We will have to fix the information in the website.
