well the bachmann thomas engines are not dcc ready u would either have to find a special seller who dcc's them thereselves or do it yourelf, but u can use bachmann decoders but i suppose any one would probably fit, seeing how there is a lot of space left in most of the engines, but ones like edward have no room whatsoever left in the engine, so then u would have to use the tender but if i could give u instructions on how to do so, i would but sadly i know how to do it by heart and for some odd reason cant write it out, so if what i typed did nothing sorry for wastin yo time man

i wouldnt use sharpie shining time, only because in the right light, or if there is a glare where you colored it it will look purple

sorry SA, but there is room there just needs to be moving of the main circit board to the side and then the decoder could fit nicely right next to it but as long as the cab is closed like normal ones (unlike mine haha) it should look no different but run very nicely dccified

i really think that the spring is the issue, after all my james kept derailing over switches because his front whell kept popping off, so there could be 2 ways bachmann could fix that, 1.) give it a more springy spring ( ) or make the plastic that guides the wheel out of metal like every one elses

nothing will need to be altered you should have no issue whatsoever "playing" with thomas on the atlas track 

and i see why corrie (t-line) said he thought the wheels were still gray (and Note that was a long time ago why i still remeber that i have no idea lol) because pine tre junction said the wheels arnt painted just plain metal, ah well another thing for me to do

if u dont get a new response within a month or 2 i think you might want to get a nother thomas or just drive down there and get it yourself
