because it costs money to redo products already introduced, and bachmann has to focus more on their other models they manufacture.

While I have had the Red Express coaches for a while, last year I bought a 1st, 3rd, and brake coach on sale from Hattons, in the Crimson and Cream livery. Two weeks ago I purchased 2 more carriages, also on sale from Hattons. The Maunsell coaches will act as my express while the red Bachmann coaches act as my stopping passenger service. My original idea for getting the coaches was to repaint them in Green and Cream livery, but now I'm not sure whether to repaint them because they are all ready really nice strait out of the box. In my opinion, both sets of coaches look nice behind any engine, but the munsell coaches look really nice behind Gordon, Henry, James, and Edward. The Bachmann coaches look best behind Donald and Douglas.

why would they discontinue Gordon? Just because they discontinue his coaches doesn't mean they are going to discontinue him.

I have a couple of hornby and bachmann UK locos and they work fine on my layout. As Doneldon said, i might be dirty track or the pickups aren't making contact with the wheels.

Sounds awesome! I would go, it's just getting there would be a problem. If i had a car then i would defiantly go! plus it would be nice to get a change from Philadelphia scenery.

if they put DCC and or DCC Sound in the locos, they would be WAY too expensive! maybe if they put in a DCC socket in the locos then they would be a hole lot easier to convert to DCC.

i don't believe Bachmann has ever made the platform 9 3/4 or any buildings or even the car to go with it. Are you sure it's Bachmann? A company named Hornby came out with a hogwarts set with the platform a couple years ago. that could be the set you have. if it's missing buildings.

The british/aus was called "bulgy" so it can be forgiven, that's why I always look up the episodes to see if the names change.

it's from "Bulgy Rides Again". "Bulgy" and  "Blugy Rides Again" are two different episodes from two different seasons.

Annie and Clarabel, Helena and Victoria........that's about all the twin girls I could think of.
