HO / Re: 4-8-4 has not run in almost 20 years

Sounds like a very old first run model. I would suggest calling Bachmann and sending them the locomotive and 20 dollars for a replacement. the old ones didn't run verywell in the first place and if it is as old as yousay it could be cracked gears dried out gearbox or one of many little demons.

Also reported as well, we do not need such language on this board when young people are present and active. If you cant act like an adult then leave and go post somewhere else.

I agree Ray, Won't hear me complaining I can't really complain about the two old Hallmark gals I got in both run pretty good for their ages.

;D Hey Mr. Bachmann how about something for us ICRR fans at least you could take the 2-8-0 and paint and letter it for the IC after all is based on a IC 900 class. Or a nice IC 2-8-2 in plastic. I mean it looks like you got the east coast covered and the West coast but like so many other companiies no Mid America.

I like it as well. This way I don't have to sort through all the differant posts to find the scale topics I am looking for and it gives all the Thomas fans their own little playground, while the adults play with the real trains.

Hi Craig,

The new Silver Series has a differant setup I think. I know I had two of the old ones and they never did work, In fact I gave them to a friend for a old Tyco one that did lol. I don't have them in front of me right now they are in MA at my off line paint shop. I will have to ask Alex to look and see how those are made.

We have a couple of 3 truck shays down here in a Mississippi Swamp I don't know if anyone has tried to pull them out or not. One has a pretty good sized oak tree growing up through the water tender on one of them.
