Looking to Trade Bachmann Spectrum 2-8-0 for Atlas 2-6-0 or Bachmann 4-4-0 & Passenger Cars

Hi, I'm looking for a Atlas 2-6-0 Mogul for my "Old West" themed layout
Like This one
http://www.visi.com/~spookshow/atlas260.html

I'd prefer one with no road name or, Denver & Rio Grande, Virginia & Truckee
something "western"

I'd also consider trading for a recent version of Bachmanns 4-4-0 Union Pacific engine
and Oldtime passenger coach set. (I dont want to buy a prarie flyer set just to have all the left over ez-track.)

I'd like some "older" style equipment to run.

I recently recived a Bachman Spectrum 2-8-0 as a warranty replacement
with the Chesapeake & Ohio Road name, Like This one http://www.visi.com/~spookshow/spec280.html
It is brand new with its case & papers, I only ran it for about 5 Min. just to make sure it works,
It is very nice but I'd rather concentrate on my 19th century layout for awhile so I dont really need it.

Anyone want to trade? The atlas 2-6-0, the spectrum 2-8-0, & prarie flyer set
all have roughly the same list price, I'd trade even up or make some kind of deal.
I might have something else I might want to trade.

The photos are just to show what I'm looking to get and what I am trading,
I can post a photo of my actual engine if anyones interested.

Thanks for reading-
Jason

N / American 4-4-0 "Levithan" in Nscale
January 26, 2010, 12:48:42 PM
Hi, I recently purchased an N scale 4-4-0 "jupiter"  and some cars
and I am really excited to try a small layout for my 1860's-1880's type engines.

While doing some research I came across a photo of an engine that was finished
last year It is a replica of an American 4-4-0 Named "Leviathan" it is from Chicago
http://web.mac.com/vtlyon/iWeb/The%20Leviathan/Leviathan%20.html
Check the Link for info on this engine it is awesome.

From what I have read it is more or less a duplicate of the "Jupiter" engine
on display in Utah an the Golden Spike Site.

My question is - Does anyone at Bachmann know if there are plans to release
an N scale version of this engine? it would be real simple to update the existing
"Jupiter " engine with a different paint job,   If it is something Bachmann would
eventually produce I would buy one, otherwise I'll look into getting new decals
made up for to turn a "Jupiter" into a "Leviathan"

Who would I write to at Bachmann to express my interest in a "Leviathan" 4-4-0?
And also the availability of buying additional "old timer" cars seperate from the train sets.

Anyone else have any links or places to get info on 19th century Model Railroading in N?

Hi, I picked up a used bachmann 2-8-0 (see the link for a photo) from arround 1983
http://www.visi.com/~spookshow/bach280.html I dont have a warnty for it.

I need a junk/parts engine with a good metal chassis or at the very least
a new set of drive gears, anyone know where to get the gears or have
a parts engine they would be willing to sell? (I have a plastic chassis
and would like to up grade to the metal one if possible)

It looks too nice to junk and it just needs a set of new gears.

Also Anyone have a factory sheet to show disassembly & part numbers?

Any help would be appreciated Thanks!
