well, i remember talking to a friend i met from youtube down by the Ex. NPR. he was saying about teaching his brother the difference from a Gp40 and Gp40-2. i was confused. He pronounced that unit GP40 dash 2. i pronounce it GP42 when i mean GP40-2. am i doing something wrong or is this common?

Well, i finally cracked, it's drove me crazy. is their any info on this railroad? Wiki is ok, i know the facts are true about the roster. But i found a 3ed diesel a couple weeks ago (refer to youtube video) So does anyone know if they bought another?! I Emailed the person who took the more resent photos and he said they used to run all week 6-10 A.M. now Monday, Wednesday & Friday... same time of day. Well, went to the music box down at Olmsted falls and some Santa Fe coaches caught my eye, $15!! I looked on the internet and they usually sell for $17. I got even luckier, it was actually on sale for $12! so i paid $12.93 for it and contacted my sis to take me down later this week to pick up another one. I got the dinner and planning on getting the baggage, because that's what i need to complete my consist(6 coaches!)

Anyway, i want to know what is a good pair of knuckles for them? thx!

What i wanted to do is replace the B O with L W and renumber it from its original to 1 or something. Is their any Ls or Ws out there that i can buy or do i have to make one?

I have been noticeing a few diesels thtat look like they need a few days in the shops. Today when i went their, i got the business name. To my surprise, it was GE transportation! And the surprise was that there was a GE44 ton, and a S2 i think plus another engine i cant see. the gate is locked and says no trespassing. I looked up their phone number and am thinking of calling them up tomorrow for permission to go tape the units. I don't know what to expect and if its a good idea. i don't see any trouble from it.

Figure it would be something fun to do.

Well, I've tried W&LE down at Akron and all i got from Ohio central is steam in the valley 2007+08.

I'd like to try both of them this year, on the line(not specials and such). here is my question.

Where is the best place(and time if possible) can i catch 1 of these railroads working?

I looked and looked and it seems these are ghosts! they don't have 9676 listed at all! from the info i found, 9670 is from the 1900's and was retired 1964-1966... this sounds right but is their any other availible info?

I don't know about you, but i rarely switched cars of any kind with a F unit. This is due to the fact that it seems i have bad luck. This varies to failed switches, unknown derailments on perfect track, uncouples, etc. I have only done this with ho scale, but, im wondering has this happened to anyone else(any scale/gauge)?

I just tested my hand car i got, i think im having some bad luck from those cars. The guy in the black shirt isn't connected to the bar so he doesn't move like the person in red. How do i fix this? it seems simple but i don't want to break it. thanks

Well, i got all bachmann items (except 1 caboose) and was very pleased. I'm testing them now (if i ever stop wanting to run the Dash 8-40CW for a few minutes. ) Well, im testing the cars and just to say, the ATSF flat car with pipes is perfect and totally worth the money. I opened 1 of the other cars and 1 wheel was off. Of course its easy but a tad bit frustrating. And when i got done, i was in a cheery mood again. i opened car 2 and my mouth dropped. 3 wheels off?! That to me, is a bigger surprise than finding $5 in the box. Of course im not mad, im just a tad bit upsettend. what could have happened to cause this?

The only reasons i can think of is
1:mechanical problem
2:a kid shook the box

anyway, i still like the items and will keep shopping bachmann products. Im just confused of the 3 wheel deal. i can see 1 once in a while but 3 is a tad too much. Thanks anyway. Hope everyone had a merry Christmas!

Ok, your at a mall, shopping for your sister, then your dad calls you up talking about taping the polar express. What are you gonna say?! Well, that was my situation today, i had rode it yesterday. I said yes, praying(i actually did!) that the rental was gonna run. Well, no chance we would catch it at rockside. So we sped towards peninsula. If you have ever chased an engine , your 2 main problems, people, and other people that are doing the same thing. We were too late to find it coming in but it over ran again(im so lucky for once!). I heard from my grandpa that it was a Six truck and a 4 truck. Now, right their your thinking "WHAT THE?!" He said it was a FL9 so i took a geuss he made a mistake. Of course, my dad gave chase and it was like steam days. It was dark but I got some good shots. Well, where does the crazy part come? well, lets say you were driving the lead unit (this case, #800) and saw a kid taping a train at 8 P.M. I think that would be crazy. When we got to the bridge (just after the yard, about 1 mile from rockside) It happened, i was watching something and i turned around to find a cop car behind my dad's car. At first i got mad,(i was thinking of the time at Triskett...) but couldn't help but laugh. I wanted to walk over but how is he gonna know i got a cam corder and not a gun? so i stayed on the bridge. For humorous reasons i taped the cop car passing by. According to my dad, the cop was telling him it wasn't a good area to stop so he had to turn around at the other side. If a cop asks you what your doing and you say watching trains, 98% hes gonna say "what?" and the fact it's 8:45ish doesn't help. So it was a crazy day and something i didn't expect.
