Title: Running two trains on same track in opposite directions
Post by: Newegineer on February 18, 2025, 07:41:44 PM
Is it safe to run a dc or dcc locomotive on same track in opposite directions?  I mean by simply placing the locomotive on the track in the opposite direction.  Please advise

If You mean one loco running forward and another hooked to it in the reverse orientation...YES

DC trains will run that way automatically...but You'd want to experiment a bit to determine which one should lead or follow based on individual speed

DCC trains can be speed-matched using CV's 2-5-6 and consisted to run in any orientation desired
