Title: HO Lillie Belle
Post by: Lilly Belle on November 29, 2024, 04:06:31 PM
Hi,
I'm looking at buying more curved track. But I'm not sure how to measure its length. Most advertised track is 18" but I'm measuring
10-11 1/4' ???
Thanks
Joe

18" would be the radius from the center of a circle of track to the centerline of the rails. Not the length of the track.

Make sure you double it to find out how much space you need to turn around. 15" being 30", 18" being 36", 22" being 44", etc.

Oh, and next time make sure to put this in the proper forum (HO) before the mods have to move it.

If it's EZ track the radius is stated on the underside of the roadbed.

Add 2" for the outside edge. A 30" radius circle would be 32" wide.
