Have manufacturers been putting the turn radius on locomotive boxes recently, if not i think they should it would save a lot of headaches, nothing worse than getting a beautiful loco and the front or rear drivers jump the rail arrrrh. yes this is a rant.
Good rant, Rusty!
Merry Christmas!

Most manufactures do include a minimum suggested radius in their literature. You just have to hunt for it. It's safe to say most loco's are designed for 11" minimum radius with many able to do 9 3/4. N scale has matured to the point that 9 3/4 radius curves are not being considered by most manufactures anymore. Atlas's newest track system starts at 12" radius. Bachmann's minimum radius is 11 1/4". Kato just came out with some really small radius curves but they are intended for use with their Portram Trolley sets and other traction applications. The Kato starter sets come with 12 3/8" radius curves. Their inner loop set to go with the M1 is 11"R.
