Title: csx bachmann
Post by: jeffsuzanne94 on January 23, 2011, 01:54:42 PM
Hello!   We just bought a CSX locomotive and it requires at least 90 watt transformer.  What can we use?  We tried a 80 watt and it did not move the transformer light just blinked like the train was off the track.  Any ideas??

Greetings.

Sounds like a "Williams by Bachmann" 3-rail O-gauge loco, correct?

You'll find more 3-rail-O enthusiasts in the "Williams by Bachmann" sub-forum than here in the "general" section.

Check for shorts, such as power feed wires touching each other, something metal laying across the rails, or the power lock-on for tubular rail track misplaced between the rails.

Does the transformer light blink if you apply power to the track with nothing on the rails?

Sincerely,
