Has anybody had any experience of repairing the motor or whatever powers the switch on the Bachmann 44861 turnouts. Bachmann state on the package that if switched for more than one second the motor could be damaged. This seems to me to be a very weak piece of equipment. Any remedies or input would be appreciated.
It's not that it is a weak piece of equipment. Just follow the instructions and maybe it would have been okay, it is how all solenoid switches are if the contact is more than just a second or two, you burn it out and there is nothing you can do short of replacing it.
