Returning dysfuntional Climax

[Frisco2008]

I have an HO 2-truck Climax which has quit running. On the powered track the motor just hums and both Headlights are on.

What should I try before returning this loco?

How do I go about returning it?

.Packing (I have original box)
.Insurance
.Etc.

I would call Bachmann Service, talk to someone, get any additional info from them.
They also have on ON-LINE form under the Contact Us tabs to the left.
Read the Service Department info on the tab to the left....also.

And just to be forewarned........Bachmann doesn't have the Climax in production at this time, and no parts are left in stock.....so unless it's an easy fix that doesn't require any parts, you are likely to be offered a Shay in it's place.
