Improving DC performance

I just cut them from the top with small wire cutters, really just crushing them to bits. Them used an exacto knife to make sure the two ends where no longer "connected" at all.

Only three of my eight 2-8-0's are the new ones with LED headlights and I had not even noticed this difference back when i removed the decoders and installed the jumpers.

Every loco I have removed the caps from now runs at 3 smph or less on my cheapest little MRC power pack. And they all run slower and smoother than that on the Aristo Train Engineer.

These Bachmann locos are better than we even knew - its been hiding behind those caps all these years.
