Nice, I actually based my layout for snowy weather but used some cheap stuff. I will have to get the real stuff(comes in a bottle sprinkler)! Good photo! will have to get some pics of my layout. Great job and the potatoes... who knows ;)

Close the box car door - then the spuds won't freeze. Very nice representation of snow. What did you use?

The snow is sifted baking powder, spread somewhat evenly on the scene. The fuzz on the thread on the telephone poles caught it adding a nice effect.

Nice job Alex. Have you ever tried to send a photo in to MR for publishing?

I did, and was complemented even without including my age, however the image was too small(needs to be 2400 pixels wide or something to that extend because of the high quality printing). They did encourage me to submit more, so I'll probably do that when I get my Lamoille Valley engines up and running.

I was wondering what to use for a good snow effect on my bench and it looks like the sifted baking powder will do the trick.   Inexpensive also.
Inorder to make it stick to the bench better do you think using watered down while glue and spraying it would effect the color or texture of the baking powder or snow effect.   Also would help keep it in place and be able to build up snow mounds and keeping them in position.
