Just thought I would ask, has anyone else used prime mover decals. I just ordered 3 sets, two susquehanna steam and 1 e9 susquehanna for my 1 deisels f-2

A link would be nice?
You'd likely need Micro-Set, Micro-Sol, and a Dull-Cote, and give the locomotives a gloss coat(Future Floor Finish).

What is with the gloss coat?  I only apply the dull coat. The dull finish is what I remember of the old freight steamers that ran on the line behind my parents house. The only semi-shinny finish I remember was on some of the passenger locos and cars.

Gloss after painting & before decalling.  Decals will "blend in" better on a glossy surface then on a flat  painted one.  ( I have found them easier to place too.)  Then decal, pop bubbles (if any) and flat coat to have the decal blend in & not stand out.

Then gloss will not show up on the finished product.  It is just a step to help decalling.

And use distilled water.  I use water from my c-pap machine - and it really helps to make clean decals.
