How to remove a Spectrum 2-10-2 and a 4-8-2 cab?

How do you safely remove a Spectrum 2-10-2 and a 4-8-2 cab so as not to damage the models? I have a Precision Scale CNR cab that would look great on these two locomotives.

There MAY be a screw going up into the front of the cab.  If there is one, remove it.  Then, the cab fits into grooves along the bottom.  You need to gently work the cab out of one groove, using a small flat bladed screwdriver,  and it pops off.  Be sure to loosen/remove the cab grabs before trying to remve the cab.
