I have a Spectrum heavy 4-8-2 that I'm trying to modify to GTW prototype. Is there a Delta type 2 wheel trailing truck that I could swap out easily?

Thanks.

One version of the USRA light 2-10-2 has a Delta trailing truck.  However, you need to get to the rear of the line of those trying to get just the trucks.  :D  I could use at least ten.

Precision Scale used to carry a brass version as part of the old Kemtron line.  Also, investigate parts from Bowser from the old Penn Line PRR models- K-4, L-1, M-1, E-6.

I used a metal Delta truck for a recent Connie to Mike stretch bash. It worked great, but looked a bit wide, so I switched it out to a narrower plastic Baker truck.  Like Gene, I'd like to have a few more on hand.

I also have several Bowser brass versions, but they don't look right on a Mike.

I just purchased a 4 wheel trailing truck from
Yardbird Classic Trains.

The web site is:  www.yardbirdtrains.com

I used it to make a 4-8-2 Cab forward.  They have a sizable selection on a lot of miscellaneous parts!!

Lee, I couldn't find the trucks with my cruddy dialup.  Can you post the specific page and part number?

Thanks.

Sure, just tell me how...

I barely function on this thing...

Here...  I think.  Part # P7494

Thanks.  I think the P7496 would work for my Mike bashes.  Are the frames plastic or cast metal?

Nigel,
Is that the one that needs to be soldered for assembly?

Bob,
The whole frame is white metal.  The wheel sets are plastic, though....

Solder is preferred for strength, etc, but CA for tacking, and some five minute epoxy for strength will work too.

Bob,
The one that I told you about does not need any soldering.  It is complete...

Hope this helps       :)
