climb a mountain?

Hello all,

how long to make an incline to go up about 2 inches? for safty and to be most real?
if i knew how to post a picture of what i have done so far i would share it with you..

What I have used is 1/4 inch every foot.   At that rate it would take 8 eight feet.

.....which works out roughly to a 2% grade....which is about the max an average layout can handle....unless you model something like high mountain logging with geared steamers.
