saw one from the 50s in bad condition on ebay a couple of weeks ago and the price for it was $80ish and the bids were going up fast.

Looking at that, the engine probably would be a good seller.

But you do still have another option: Scratch build one. Yes, it's time consuming and you may need to learn a few new skills but those are reasons to do a project, not reasons to avoid it. And I promise you'll be very proud when you look at a complicated project which you researched, designed and built yourself.
