Hi Everyone! I am new to this site. I was at a train show yesterday and purchased the Bachmann White Christmas Express N Gauge train set. It comes with the Prairie Steam engine. In the Manual it explains the maintenance of the engines gears and push rods with oil. My question is does the Steam Train come Pre-Oiled out of the box from the factory? And is there any other tips for the new train?

Even if it was pre lubed, most will have dried off or dripped off during shipping & storage.  It probably won't hurt to run it a little til you can get to a hobby shop for some lube!

There are no dumb or stupid questions, just questions!

Conrail Quality

Make sure any oil you use is plastic-compatible. Don't use 3-in-1, WD-40, etc. They will ruin your train.
