Bachmann HO Empire Builder

Hi,  My son got a train from his deceased uncle and we cannot find out much about it.  when it was made etc.

It has most of the peices except for the waystation-whistle house.

The box says Bachmann HO Empire Builder.  When I try to look it up it brings up the N scale.  Can anyone tell me where to look to find when it was made?

Does it come with EZ track? What's the date on the manual?

BTw, there have been several runs of this set. Most were made from the 90's to the present.
