On30 Two-truck Shay

How do you remove the cab on an On30 Shay? Is it possible to heighten this loco by putting a washer between the trucks and the frame ? Thanks for your help. Joe

Joe,

there are little screws underneath the cab. Check for them - they´re tiny and black coloured. Get them out and carefully move the cab. The screws go into the Cab seats and the front wall of the cab. Should work that way. Best, check the explosion drawing provided with the model - this should clearly show you where you find everything on your model.

Wouldn´t think it wise to place a washer between the Shay´s trucks and the frame. This would let the engine become very unstable, I would think.
