Does anyone know of a supplier for O scale pantographs? I want to convert a combine for use on an interurban but using a pantograph instead of trolley poles. Pick up will be through the track, so the overhead is not live, it's just for appearance.

Thanks if you can help.

Geoff.

A true O scale pantograph (as used on GG-1 models) would be the full width of an On30 car. You should look for an HO scale pantograph to mount on top of the clerestory roof. Since it doesn't have to operate, look for a GG-1 or other junker at an HO swap meet, or search parts catalogs of firms that have offered GG-1's.

The German supplier Sommerfeld has O scale Phanto's in its program.
Dealer in US is Miami Trains, I believe. The O scale # is 902, or 903

Thanks for your replies, some food for thought there.

Browse around on the site of Backwoodsminiatures in England/Scotland.
Pete has a pantograph on one of his models.

Thanks John,

Backwoods Miniatures also use Sommerfeldt pantographs, so that looks like the way to go.
