Dynamis range

Has anyone had any experience as to the range of the Dynamis IR system? I seem to be able to get not much more than 6 to 8 feet away before it loses signal. I've tried the receiver/command center from 3ft to 5ft high, tilted it and the line of sight is not more than 30degrees offset from controller to receiver. Low battery indicator not on, but I tested them anyway and are OK. THANKS!!

hmmm.....,  mine works from about 30' away! maybe you should wi[e down the ENTIRE CONTROLLER not counting the screen it's probably a dirt lens for the infa red half of it....

i know about that but when the lights are dim in the room, you can gain a 3 additional feet. when i get my dynamis pro system, i can run trains from my dynamis and my home PC. later talk..
