80 ton three truck shay motor replacement

The mentioned HO scale engine needs a motor replacement.  How can they be purchased?   The Spectrum instruction sheet that came with the engine mentions a loco chassis assembly H81911 but that seems an over kill for a simple motor replacement.  The present motor's commutator segment separated from the armature which caused the stall condition.  Thought Backmann would be the logical staring resource if not them then NWSL.  Any suggestions?
